FAQs about business account comparison

There is no single winner. It depends on how your business operates. Traditional banks suit businesses who prefer branch service, cash handling and credit lines. However, they generally require a monthly fee, minimum balances, and slower, document-heavy onboarding process. Digital banks strip that with fast, fully online sign-up and lean pricing, but most of them focus on domestic Singapore banking with limited multi-currency support and international reach. Global fintechs are built for businesses who move across borders, pairing multi-currency accounts, transparent FX, and spend management in a single platform.

The most established names are DBS, OCBC, UOB and Maybank. There are also other providers like Standard Chartered and CIMB.

Singapore's newer digital banks that provide business accounts include MariBank, ANEXT, GXS and GLDB. Of these MariBank and ANEXT are more popular over GXS and GLDB who serve a more niche audience.

Widely used global fintech options include Aspire, Wise, Revolut, Payoneer, Airwallex and YouBiz. They specialise in multi-currency accounts, competitive FX, cross-border payments, and many also provide expense management capabilities on top of it.

Provider type does matter a lot. Traditional banks often take longer, with more documents and in-person steps required, while digital banks and global fintechs are built for fast, fully online onboarding.
