FAQs about Treasury
How does Aspire Treasury work?
You can seamlessly invest your idle funds from your Aspire DDA account anytime.
At the time of onboarding, you will be asked to complete an investor risk profiling questionnaire that will enable us to understand your investment objectives and risk tolerance. Our algorithm will then recommend a portfolio that is suited to your needs.
Our investment advisory is provided on a non-discretionary basis, meaning that we provide the investment recommendations. The decision to act on the recommendation rests solely with you.
If you choose to invest in the recommended portfolio, you can invest in the underlying mutual funds via your brokerage account with Atomic Brokerage LLC.
Underpinning the portfolios, Aspire Treasury currently offers two money market mutual funds that invest in lower-risk, short-term debt securities, such as Treasury bills, municipal debt, or corporate bonds. See the fund prospectuses for details on each fund’s holdings:
- Dreyfus Treasury Securities Cash Management (DIRXX) is a money market fund which invests only in US Treasury securities and cash.
- BlackRock BLF TempCash is a prime money market fund that invests in a broad range of US dollar denominated money market instruments, including government, US and foreign bank, and commercial obligations and repurchase agreements.
You’ll get updates on the net asset value of and returns on your investments, with next-business-day access to your money whenever needed.
Can I speak to an Investment Adviser to discuss my needs and get advice?
We are a digital only platform and provide our algorithm driven investment advisory services solely via the web or mobile app. We do not have any representatives or advisors who can speak with you directly to provide financial advice.
Who can use Aspire Treasury? Is my DDA eligible?
We currently serve businesses (corporations and LLCs) that are US entities only, and do not provide our services to individuals. To use Aspire Treasury you must first open an Aspire DDA account.
How much does Aspire Treasury cost?
There are no fees to open an account or transact with Aspire Treasury.
Clients are charged a small percentage of their total monthly Aspire Treasury holdings at a rate determined by the value of the total holdings in Aspire Treasury, ranging from 0.15% to 0.5%. This is charged to the Aspire DDA account. Please see details on pricing in the Wrap Fee Program Brochure.
Is there any lock-in period? Can I withdraw my funds immediately?
You can withdraw money from your Aspire Treasury account at any time—the proceeds of the sale of the fund units will be transferred to your Aspire DDA account by the next business day, if the redemption request is received before the cut-off time for the day of the relevant money market fund(s).
Is there any minimum investment required?
No, you can invest any amount in Treasury and get access to your funds on the next business day for redemption requests placed before cut-off time.
How is Aspire Treasury insured?
Aspire Treasury accounts are not FDIC insured. Treasury investments are held at Atomic Brokerage LLC, which is insured by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). In the unlikely event that Aspire’s brokerage firm fails, the SIPC will insure customers up to USD $500,000 in securities and cash.
